Summer time, Bussfest 2015 and Garage time.

Schools out for summer !

we kicked summer of with trips to the local beach in Enköping, relaxing into the summer vibes.

Then a little excursion down south, fixing a deal on a BSA Spitfire for my dad and visiting Roland and his new house in the same weekend

Back in the garage the boys find Barry´s gag bike

and I get cracking on the bus again, moving from corner to corner, looking at the brake servo and copper hard line installation as well as the fitting of glass in to pop outs and safaris, also looking at the door locks.

Then we had a trip home to Cambridge, UK

Back in Sweden and a nice time with Esty and the Chileans at Gröna lund watching Robert Plant
Then it was time for this years bussfest - Båstad, I had planned to take lelles samba along, loaded up with stuff for bussfest, but a few miles out of town and I had a breakdown, turned out to be that there was no fuel filter fitted ! DOH! so loads of crap from the tank had been finding its nerry way to the carb, no good and had to abandon and take the golf instead.

Finally at bussfest and straight down to buisness, here we all are fixing the goodie bags for bussfest

I will write up a full post about this years bussfest in the near future, but what I can say now is that it was as usual a great meeting, not to be missed!

Back in the garage and things are progressing, fired up afetre bussfest and on a mission to have it driving for the next one ???

nice job installing the hard lines from mc to servo, this bus is gonna stop well!

Then I started on the belly pans, going for the removable idea, so I got tooled up with a rivnut set and got busy making the pans fit, getting there with the sides but the center section is going to need a little more fabrication to get it to be removable.

Happy with the belly pan fitment

Next up is to continue drilling and rivnut-ing, finishing the brake lines, order and recive more parts and everything that is required on getting the bus back to a place where the under side jobs are done and the bus can meet its wheels once again, some of the jobs I have to do are fitting the 1 piece axle gators to the drive shaft tubes, installing the steering box and aligning the shaft, welding new brackets for the accelerator linkage and making sure the gear shift, brake pedal and clucth pedals all fit and do like they should, also will be routing the wiring loom in too, belly pans will head for paint as soon as they are fabricated -

also just had a great find, got a 6 v wiper motor and missing mounting plate for 300 kr at bug run classic, after about 30 mins I had them all cleaned up and straightened, looking forward to getting the 12 v armature and installing that little lot under the dash.
